Since 2001, Indicia has partnered with hundreds of clients in many diverse industries; from entrepreneurs, to start-ups, to Fortune 500 companies. We have come a long way from the converted garage space and dining room table that Ryan started in. From its humble beginnings, Indicia has expanded from three designers to an experienced team of eight professionals—including a dedicated account team, seasoned creatives, and an in-house web developer.
We enhance brands through informed, creative design. Design is more valuable when it is advancing business goals and strengthening brands. This is precisely the way we view everything–with a distinct purpose. We think of our work as “intelligent creative” because we combine smart design to compliment your business strategy.
More than a leader, Ryan is an experienced designer with over two decades of skin in the game. Author of The Complete Graphic Designer (Rockport Pub., '06) and recipient of a MA in Design Management, Ryan strives to bridge the gap between business strategy and creative design. Ryan is also a frequent speaker and educator on the topic of branding, having been recognized by the Austin Ad Federation, the Ad Club of Kansas City and the American Graphic Design Awards, as well as various features in design annuals and publications.
* Fearless of most things… except snakes, and very large spiders.
** Oh, and being trapped in small spaces, like elevators. And clowns… definitely clowns.
Becky is our office manager and bookkeeper who’s thrilled to call Indicia home. She’s lived many lives in her career, including the director of operations for a small beverage business, a first-grade teacher, and even a firefighter.
And, forget the pinot; she’ll take some zin.
A solutions-oriented account manager with more than eight years of experience in project management and strategy, Michael has worked in creative agencies both large and small. By collaborating with and working closely with clients, he’s able to learn what makes your business tick and how best to position and communicate those attributes.
While at his desk, he secretly imagines himself taking over first base from Hosmer.
With six years of experience at agencies both small and large – and even spending time at a professional sports team – Katie brings valuable expertise in account management to the Indicia team. She believes that communication is the most valuable component of a client relationship, and her top goal is to always remain a trusted advisor to her clients and her team.
She wonders why it’s not socially acceptable to add French fries as a side to every meal.
As creative director and award-winning designer and art director, Justin guides the creative output of the design team, and is an integral part of the Indicia creative team. He is a hands-on leader with strong creative problem solving skills.
A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Kearney, he is a self-described visual engineer, optical architect and visual poet. He is also a fan of lists and the golden mean (stay organized and direction in dividing space).
In college, Neil was a numbers person. That was until he encountered design, quickly realizing, math provided the desire for structure and cognition, while design allowed him to pursue a free–flowing path to solving problems.
Joining the Indicia team close to a decade ago, Neil currently serves as art director, providing an awareness of fresh design trends, continual desire to impress our clients and a unique illustrative graphic style all of his own. He recently started taking fish oils.
Todd brings an ever-expanding skill set to Indicia and a belief that strong research and sketches are invaluable to great design. Outside of design, Todd enjoys baseball, collecting records and relaxing with video games—and, of course, tacos.
Oh, and breakfast is usually what gets him out of bed in the morning.
Designer. Developer. Doer. With strong roots in brand development, UI/UX and marketing, Taylor’s ultimate goal is to bring a “big picture” mindset to his web development role at Indicia.
A big advocate for good culture and no stranger to getting his hands dirty, Taylor believes in effective collaboration and simply “knowing by doing.”
Now, quiet down, the Chiefs are on.
